Museum Store

The Museum Store at the Frontier Culture Museum is a must-stop for those unique
gift items. Operated by the Frontier Culture Foundation, proceeds from the Museum
Store go directly to support museum programs and buildings. Imported items from
Ireland, Germany, England and local Virginia artists and craftsmen are featured.
There are also children's historic games and toys, logo merchandise, postcards, and
homemade fudge.

Redware is museum quality reproductions of earthenware pottery from the 17th,
18th, and 19th centuries in the Anglo-American tradition. These items are
reproductions of those used on the American and English farms at the Frontier
Culture Museum.

We are proud to carry a wide selection of
Nicholas Mosse Pottery from Co. Kilkenny,
North Ireland. Spongeware is the Irish name for an old ceramic technique where each
tiny design element is applied with intricately cut sponges. It is a tradition that
began in the 19th century, when spongeware was used for simple country ware.

These pieces were designed and hand-forged by the skilled blacksmiths in the
Ulster
Forge
at the Frontier Culture Museum. The forge is open for visitors to come, watch,
and ask questions as the blacksmith makes items such as nails, s-hooks, and candle
sconces.

Books
The Frontier Culture Museum has published our Guidebook and the Frontier Heritage
