How can I support the missions of the American Frontier Culture Foundation and the Frontier
Culture Museum?

Frontier Annual Fund (Visit our Annual Report of Contributors)
Tax-deductible contributions to the Frontier Annual Fund support many significant investments in the future of the Frontier Culture
Museum, including new exhibits, educational programs, and much more. We are presently working to offer you the ability to make a
contribution via a secure web site. Until that time, though, you may mail your contribution, made payable to the American Frontier
Culture Foundation, to us at P.O. Box 629, Staunton, VA 24402-0629. You may also call Judith Andrews at 540-332-7850, ext. 172, to
place a contribution on your credit card. We welcome contributions and pledges of all sizes.

* Shenandoah Society: The Foundation invites you to join our Shenandoah Society of distinguished donors with a contribution of
$1,000 or greater. Members of the Shenandoah Society receive monthly briefs about current developments at the Museum and
Foundation as well as invitations to several special activities and lectures throughout the year.

*
Contributions of Appreciated Securities: Contributions of appreciated securities represent an easy way to support the Foundation
and offer you two tax advantages. First, you may claim the full fair market value of the stock as a charitable tax deductible. Second, by
transferring stock directly to the Foundation, as opposed to first selling your stock and then contributing the proceeds, you avoid
capital gain taxes. For more information or instructions about how to transfer appreciated securities to the Foundation, please call
Fran Carrington at 540-332-7850, ext.114.

*
Corporate Matching Contributions: Your employer may have a program through which they will match your contributions, either in
whole or in part, to qualified charitable organizations such as the American Frontier Culture Foundation. This is a very easy and
effective way to double your support. Please check with your employer to see if they have a matching gift program.

Restricted Contributions & Endowment
Each year the Foundation receives many contributions from individuals, companies, and private foundations designated for specific
purposes. If you wish that we use your support for a particular exhibit or program, or place your contribution into endowment, please
contact Fran Carrington at 540-332-7850, ext.114 to discuss your interests.

*
Endowment: By creating a permanent endowment, or contributing to an existing endowment, you help shape the Foundation's
work now and well into the future. Endowments provide the Foundation with a source of much-needed, annual income in perpetuity.
In addition, the Foundation's staff will work with you to craft guidelines for the use of annual income from your endowment. You can
create an endowment with one or more current contributions. You may also create an endowment as a legacy through your estate
plans (see
Frontier Legacy Society above).

*
Current Foundation Initiatives: The Foundation is presently undertaking the following initiatives, each of which rely on charitable
contributions. If you wish to direct your support to one of these initiatives, please contact Fran Carrington at 540-332-7850, ext.114:

*
West African Exhibit Construction of the West African exhibit is presently underway thanks to the support of several private
foundations and many individual contributors. Your contribution designated for the West African exhibit will help ensure that this new
exhibit fulfills its potential to be a premier, one-of-a-kind educational exhibit in American. To read more about the nature of this
project, please visit the West African exhibit link within the Museum's web site.

*
School Field Trips Due to budget cuts at schools across Virginia and beyond many teachers are not able to bring their classes to the
Frontier Culture Museum. With the assistance of many restricted contributions the Foundation is able to offer teachers the financial
assistance they need to ensure that their students can participate in the Museum's educational programs.
