2026 Fiber Festival

April 4 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Our fourth annual Fiber Festival is happening on April 4, 2026! Join us for a day of sheep shearing, fiber vendors, sheep herding demonstrations, and more. 

This event is a Pay-What-You-Will donation day!

Schedule of Events

9:00 AM – Museum Opens

10:00 AM – Sheep dog herding demo at 1820s

10:00 AM – Cardboard Loom Workshop (Pre-registration required)

11:00 AM – Kids Craft area opens in school house

11:00 AM – Sheep shearing demo at 1850s barn

1:00 PM – Sheep dog herding demo at 1820s

2:00 PM – Cardboard Loom Workshop (Pre-registration required)

3: 00 PM – Sheep dog herding demo at 1820s

4:00 PM – Kids Craft area closes

5:00 PM – Museum Closes

*Please note that golf carts will not be available for rent during Fiber Festival. We will have shuttles running for those who require any assistance navigating museum grounds.

Workshop

This year we are excited to offer a cardboard loom workshop! Come and learn how to make your own loom with materials you can find around your house!

There will be two opportunities to participate in this workshop. One morning @ 10 am and one afternoon workshop@ 2pm which is child-friendly.Children must be eight years or older and accompanied by an adult. Each loom maker will be $10 and you can purchase your tickets here.
